3Js+Z Studios started in 2022 in an effort to bring forward a new approach in design, passionate about small living and comfort, it was important to us as a team that as living moves towards the inevitable of increasingly compact spaces, human comfort and the quality of living should not be compromised as a result. It is because of this design philosophy that 3Js+Z Studios specialises in local residential and small-scale projects, believing that architectural quality is achieved first in minute details before larger spaces. In a way, the ideals of minimalism becomes a critical notion, understanding that a space does not necessarily need to be crowded to be architecturally pleasing, however, the opposite is true, where design should first be functional. Architecture in the eyes of our team should therefore be purpose-driven, embellishing space with architectural ideologies through simple but well-resolved spaces.

We believe in a design approach that connects with the natural landscape and environment, recognising and understanding the site before we start designing on paper. As designers, it is important to embody the surrounds, to complement with existing areas to allow for a greater and more resolved design. Using sustainable and ethical practice throughout the process, we ensure that care is taken in every stage of the project, starting from how we conduct client relations to the materiality used. In this way, we pride ourselves on client transparency not just during the design process but throughout our whole engagement, from the first meeting through to finalising construction details.
